2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV: The real deal

The 2021 Cadillac Escalade is handsome, but surprisingly demure looking compared to its predecessors. 

This is a massive vehicle that in the past traded on its almost cartoonishly over-the-top, chromed-out appearance. This time out, though, General Motors has seemingly gone with a more restrained look.

The wow factor, as it turns out, is mostly on the inside and that's just fine.

This SUV's interior is stunning. The design, materials and comfort are all top-notch.

This ESV model is 15 inches longer than the already-huge Escalade. 

This Cadillac comes with three beautiful OLED screens that are more than 38 inches wide. 

A super-sharp, forward-facing camera brings some pretty cool features to the table, including augmented-reality navigation. 

A huge range of different colors and trims are offered in the new Escalade. 

A 6.2-liter V8 is standard, delivering 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of buttery-smooth torque. Before the year is out, a 3.0-liter inline-six diesel will also be offered. 

Adults fit comfortably in all three rows of seats in the new Escalade, which is a huge advancement over the outgoing model. 

An AKG sound system with a whopping 36 speakers in available in this Cadillac and it's amazing.
