The Toyota Avalon is all-new for 2019.
From the outside, the car's most noticeable design 'feature' is this massive grille, and most of it isn't even functional.
That said, grille aside, the Avalon is a handsome car.
Slim headlamps get a neat LED signature, including dynamic sweeping turn signals.
There's actually a lot of sculpting inside the headlamp clusters, which feature standard LED illumination.
A 3.5-liter V6 is standard, but Toyota also sells the Avalon with a four-cylinder-based hybrid powertrain option.
With the V6, fuel economy ratings top out at 32 miles per gallon highway.
Get the hybrid, though, and you'll see as much as 44 mpg highway.
The Avalon offers confident, easy handling -- not too sporty, and not too soft, either.
