The three-row, eight-passenger SUV will be the largest Subaru model ever when it hits the road in early 2018 with standard EyeSight driver assistance tech.
Subaru's 2019 Ascent has risen to the top of the automaker's lineup at the 2017 LA Auto show.
The three-row SUV will be the largest vehicle in the brand's history when it hits the road in early 2018.
It will be available in seven or eight seater configurations, depending on whether one opts for the second row captain's chairs or a bench seat.
Surprisingly, Subaru has decided to offer standard EyeSight driver aid technology for the all Ascent models. Impressive!
The dashboard will feature the newest generation of StarLink infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, as well as new 4G LTE Wifi connectivity.
The SUV will be powered by a new 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine making 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque.
With the standard Symmetrical All-whee Drive system and a towing package, the Ascent will be able to tow up to a 5,000 pound payload.
Subaru hasn't announced specific pricing, but has stated that the Ascent will start in the "low 30 thousands."
