2019 Subaru Ascent climbs the mountain of 3-row SUVs
Subaru jumps back into the large SUV game with the good-looking and well-appointed Ascent.

Welcome to the world of the 2019 Subaru Ascent, the company's newest stab at a three-row SUV.
The Ascent is chock-a-block full of features like heated and cooled front seats, heated second row seats and up to eight USB ports.
The most talked-about feature might just be the 19 cupholders. Yes, 19.
Under the hood is a new 2.4-liter flat-four turbocharged engine, knocking out 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque.
An available 8-inch touchscreen runs Subaru's Starlink infotainment system, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
A smaller screen up top displays an available front-facing 180-degree camera and other vehicle settings.
An available panoramic sun roof offers an excellent view of all that nature.
The EyeSight suite of driver's aids is standard on all Ascent models, with adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and assist, emergency braking and a head-up display.
The second row is available as a three-person bench seat or two captain's chairs.
The third row is easy to access, but adults might not be able to sit comfortably without the second row scooted forward a bit.
The 2019 Subaru Ascent starts at $31,995 but a top Touring model will set you back $44,695. Keep scrolling for more photos of the latest Subie SUV.
