2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350: A friendlier track animal
For 2019, updates to the Mustang Shelby GT350 aim to make the track-focused model easier to drive at the limit.
To improve aero, the GT350's grille gets new blanking plates that reduce front end lift. Out back, a new spoiler provides additional downforce.
The exterior of the 2019 Shelby GT350 also gets a new wheel design.
A retuned suspension features stiffer front springs, softer rear springs, thicker rear antiroll bar and new calibration for the adaptive dampers.
Ford also ditches the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires in favor of sticker Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires for 2019.
Stopping muscle continues to be provided for six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers.
On the inside, suede door panel inserts and aluminum dash trim are new for 2019.
Joining the Shelby GT350's option list for 2019 is a 12-speaker B&O premium audio system.
The 5.2-liter flat-plane V8 carries over for 2019 to make 526 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque.
The 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 is on sale now and begins at $59,140, not including $1,095 for destination or a $1,300 gas guzzler tax.
