2018 Porsche 911 Carrera T: There's beauty in the simplicity
This properly outfitted base Carrera is the kind of 911 I'd happily drive every day.

The Carrera T is based on the base version of Porsche's 911 Coupe.
It has a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-6 engine with 370 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque.
A wonderful seven-speed manual transmission is standard, though you can get a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic if that's your style.
The 911 T uses rear-wheel drive and doesn't have the wider rear end of the Carrera 4 and GTS models.
The Carrera T comes standard with Porsche's PASM sport suspension, a short-throw shifter and is the only base 911 that can be optioned with rear-axle steering.
At 3,142 pounds, the Carrera T is the lightest version of the Porsche 911.
A unique aero lip spoiler and gray exterior accents set the T apart from other base 911 Carrera models.
The Carrera T gets the thinner rear-side and back window glass from the hardcore 911 GT2 RS, which saves about eight pounds.
The 911 T starts at $102,100 in the US, not including $1,050 for destination.
