It'll take a keen eye to pick up on the aesthetic differences between the new S-Class and its pre-refresh forebear.
The flagship is reborn, sort of.
Mercedes-Benz has given the S-Class some light touches for its mid-cycle refresh.
There are new bumpers front and rear, as well as redesigned headlights and taillights.
The "base" S450 packs a 3.0-liter V6, good for 362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque.
The more expensive S560 replaces that V6 with a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8.
The S560's output is rated at 463 horsepower and 516 pound-feet.
Both models wield a nine-speed automatic, and can be mated to either rear- or all-wheel drive.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard.
A slightly tweaked interior sees both 12.3-inch screens residing under the same pane of glass.
The S450 will be on sale by the fall, with the S560 coming later in the year.
