2018 Mercedes-Benz Metris: Working for a living
We put our long-term Metris van through its paces as a production van for an entire year.

At Roadshow, we have a lot of video equipment to haul around on shoots. For a year, the 2018 Mercedes-Benz Metris van got the job done.
Yup, Mercedes-Benz makes a van.
The Metris is powered by a 2.0-liter, turbocharged, four-cylinder engine, with 208 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. A smooth, seven-speed automatic transmission manages that power.
With 183 cubic feet of space, we could load all our gear and then some.
With its upright, flat body panels, the Metris allowed us to mount cameras to its sides and back for some sweet car-to-car shots.
The only thing we didn't really like about the Metris was the infotainment system. It's very rudimentary.
We also wished for adaptive cruise control to help take some stress out of Bay Area traffic.
Fortunately the Metris has blind-spot monitoring and a rear-view camera since there are no rear windows.
The Metris is still small enough to handle the narrow streets near Roadshow HQ with ease.
