Mercedes' GLC family will get a new range-topping model for the 2018 model year with the GLC63.
The 2018 Mercedes-AMG GLC63 is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine making 469 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque.
A nine-speed dual-clutch sequential manual transmission bolts to the turbocharged V8 in the GLC63.
The US market will not get the GLC63 S SUV with a 503-horsepower version of the 4.0-liter turbo V8. However, customers in America will be able to get the GLC63 S Coupe.
Mercedes says the GLC63 SUV can hit 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds.
Routing power to all four wheels is a 4Matic+ system that is capable of channeling 100 percent of power to the rear axle.
For improved handling, the GLC63 features adaptive shock absorbers with air springs.
Inside, standard infotainment consists of a 7.0-inch center display, Burmester surround sound system and satellite radio.
A 8.4-inch high-resolution center screen, navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available as options inside of the GLC63.
The 2018 Mercedes-AMG GLC63 SUV, GLC63 Coupe and GLC63 S Coupe will arrive in US showrooms in the middle of the 2018 calendar year.
