2018 Mercedes-AMG GLA45 receives some small nips and tucks

For 2018, updates to the entire GLA-Class family include redesigned bumpers, wheels, instrument cluster and an 8-inch high-resolution infotainment display.

For the GLA45, the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine remains, producing 375 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque.

The GLA45's seven-speed dual-clutch transmission gets revised gear ratios.

The 4Matic all-wheel drive system offers the GLA45 the ability to be purely a front-wheel-drive vehicle, or offer a 50:50 torque split between the front and rear axles.

LED headlights are no standard on the GLA45 and replace the bi-xenon units offered on previous year models.

The rear spoiler on the back of the GLA45 receives a new lip design for 2018.

According to Mercedes, the GLA45 is capable of hitting 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds.

An AMG Performance Exhaust System is available as an option to deliver an even more aggressive engine note.

The 2018 GLA-Class family will arrive in dealers this summer.

The high-performance GLA45 will carry a base price of $50,600, while the base GLA250 begins at $33,400.
