2018 GLC F-Cell: What the future of hydrogen looks like
A practical, hydrogen-powered SUV? This is it.
This is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC F-Cell.
It's slated to hit US dealerships by the end of 2019.
the F-Cell differs from the GLC in one big way: It runs on hydrogen.
But thanks to a sizable battery pack, it can drive a decent ways on only electricity.
Hydrogen goes in here.
Electricity goes in here.
Then you can drive up to 30 miles, even if you're a long ways away from the nearest hydrogen station.
Otherwise, the car looks to be generally unaffected by the change.
It should be just as practical as it was before.
Though likely quite a bit more expensive... exactly how much remains to be seen.
