2018 BMW M4: More capable in competition package form
The optional Competition Package adds a little more power, sharper suspension tuning and light styling touches to the BMW M4.

The base M4's 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine produces 425 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque.
When equipped with the optional Competition Package, output jumps to 444 horsepower, but torque remains unchanged.
The M4 Competition Package with the available dual-clutch transmission can reach 60 miles per hour in just 3.8 seconds.
Top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph.
The Competition Package also adds specific tuning for the steering, adaptive dampers, torque vectoring rear differential and stability controls.
Visually, the Competition Package sets itself apart from regular M4s with gloss black exterior trim and darker exhaust tips.
The interior features M Sport seats and M stripes on the front seat belts.
A six-speed manual transmission comes standard on the M4, but a seven-speed dual-clutch is available for an additional $2,900.
Carbon ceramic brakes are also available for an additional $8,150.
The 2018 BMW M4 begins at $68,695, which includes $995 for destination.
