2017 Toyota Highlander gets sportier SE model, raft of new tech
Toyota's popular Highlander crossover SUV is headed to the New York Auto Show with an update rich in new powertrain and safety technology.

New for 2017, the Highlander's SE package adds model-specific wheels and dark-painted trim.
The 2017 Highlander's rear end remains conservative, if slightly crisper than before.
Dark-painted headlamp surrounds and grille trim imbue the Highlander SE with a slightly more menacing look.
New tail lamps feature revised light piping.
All-wheel drive continues to be an option throughout the Highlander range.
Model-specific 19-inch alloys feature gloss-black painted accents.
Behind the SE's multi-spoke alloys is a slightly firmed-up suspension.
The 2017 Highlander is once again available with a 3.5-liter V-6, but this one features direct injection and stop/start technology.
SE interiors receive black leather seating with silver stitching and patterned inserts, along with complementary dashboard and door trims.
Note the padded surfaces and accent lighting on the door cards.
