2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is Italian for 'beautiful'
Alfa Romeo is finally back in the US, and this stunning yet flawed sedan is here to take on BMW's M3.
This is the Alfa Romeo Giulia.
Specifically, it's the Giulia Quadrifoglio, the top-shelf trim.
Think of the Quadrifoglio (which means "four leaf clover" in Italian) as the equivalent of a BMW M3 or Mercedes-AMG C63.
But, if anything, this car is far, far harder and more extreme. Much more so.
It's powered by a 505 horsepower, twin-turbocharged V6 that's very closely related to the lump found in the Ferrari California T!
Power goes exclusively to the rear wheels through an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.
Manual transmissions will be available in Europe, but sadly not in the US.
The car has a beautiful, purposeful look but it isn't overly aggressive.
Though those quad exhausts leave no doubt about the power lurking here.
The Giulia is finally coming to US shores in December, first in Quadrifoglio trim, then the more affordable models after that.
Sadly, no pricing is available yet. Click through for a bunch more pics from Alfa.
