The Cruze has rapidly become Chevy's top-selling model worldwide, and the company has just introduced a completely new model. Come have a look.
DETROIT -- This is it, the new 2016 Chevrolet Cruze.
The new Cruze was unveiled tonight at a gala event at the Filmore Theater in downtown Detroit, Michigan.
The Cruze is Chevy's mid-sized sedan, slotting in between the Malibu and the Spark here in the US.
Powering the car will be a series of motors, starting with a 1.4-liter turbo, which will deliver 153 horsepower. This will deliver an impressive 40 mpg.
There will also be a 1.5-liter non-turbo model, with a mere 113 horsepower.
A 1.6-liter diesel option will be available as well, but not until the 2017 model year.
The car continues with its four-door sedan form as before, but gains some 3 inches in length over the 2015 model year.
However, despite the increase in length, the car will lose some 250 pounds.
The car will feature Chevy's latest MyLink system, and OnStar will be there too, complete with a 4G LTE connection.
Whether you're an Android or Apple lover, you'll be set here thanks to support for both Android Auto and CarPlay.
The interior is much improved over the previous Cruze.
Rear legroom, we're told, has benefitted the most from those extra 3 inches.
