2014 Mazda Mazda6 preview (pictures)

Mazda's next Mazda6 sedan will debut as a 2014 model and make use of the Kodo design language that debuted on the CX-5 crossover.

This will also be the second model to be built from the ground up using the SkyActiv philosophy of low-weight construction techniques and efficient engine and transmission tech.

Under the hood is the 2.0-liter SkyActiv-G direct injected gasoline engine. This model will also debut Mazda's i-ELOOP regenerative braking system that uses a capacitor to store recaptured energy.

The 2014 Mazda6 will debut at the 2012 Moscow International Automobile Salon, earlier than the previously rumored Paris show debut.
