Where's the new part?

As usual, according to Porsche, the new 911 Turbo is all-new, yet delivers a vehicle that--at a glance--is indistinguishable from the old model. This is a good thing for 911 purists. But if you didn't like the old model's bug-eyed look, the new one won't sit any better with you.

Invisible changes

While the new 911 Turbo benefits from the World's Most Subtle face-lift, the biggest changes are measured not with the eye but with a stopwatch.

New 3.8 liter turbo engine

Under the 911 Turbo's familiar decklid is a 3.8-liter turbocharged and direct injected engine good for 500 horsepower and up to 516 pound feet of torque.

Alphabet soup

The 911 Turbo's drivetrain is an alphabet soup of systems working together. DFI and VTG help the engine to operate powerfully and efficiently. PDK selects the gears and a combination of PTV, PTM, and PSM keep the power and grip in check. That's a mouthful.

Power!

What this means is that the 911 Turbo blows by 60 mph from a stop in 3.2 seconds before hitting a top track speed of 194 mph.
