Skitch gets a face-lift (pictures)
Skitch for Android has jumped to version 2.0, marking its biggest update since it was acquired by Evernote. We take a look at the new tools and completely refreshed interface.
Simple tools
With the latest update, Evernote's toolbar added a highlighter, select-and-move tool, and pixelation tool for blurring portions of images.
Annotate (just about) anything
Skitch lets you draw on and annotate photos, Web pages, or even Google Maps images.
Integrated Google Maps
The integrated Google Maps option is great for making notes on specific geographical areas. You can even drop a pin on the map with a single tap. But there's no Satellite view, unfortunately.
Annotate a Web page
Skitch lets you pull up any Web page right from within the app. From there you can scroll to any point, save a snapshot, and add notes as needed.
Son of Evernote
Since Skitch is part of the Evernote family, all of your Skitch drawings get saved to a notebook on your Evernote account. Unfortunately, this means you need to sign up in order to use the Skitch app.
