Samsung's Gear Live $200 smartwatch hands-on (pictures)

Unlike a regular watch, but just like the Tizen-run Samsung Gear 2, the Gear Live has a heart-rate sensor on the back.

On the front, the Gear Live sports a square 1.63-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 320x320-pixel resolution. On the inside, it's powered by a 1.2GHz processor.

The gadget measures 1.5 inches tall by 2.2 inches wide by 0.35 inch thick (38 by 56 by 8.9 millimeters), and weighs 2.1 ounces (59 grams).

Samsung Gear Live

Its IP67 rating means the Samsung Gear Live is resistant to dust and to underwater submersion for up to 3-feet (1-meter) and 30 minutes. As Google says, you can wear it and go about your day as you wish, washing dishes, cooking, cleaning the car, and so on.

People in the US, UK and Australia can now preorder the Samsung Gear Live from the Google Play Store for $200, £169 or AU$250. It ships on July 7.
