Here are the parts to make your Chevrolet ZR2 a bonafide race truck
Chevrolet is driving hard into the development of aftermarket performance parts for the already capable ZR2 off-road pick up truck.
We love the stock Chevrolet Colorado ZR2, but let's face it, there is always room for improvement.
Chevrolet is actively developing aftermarket parts to turn the regular ZR2 into a dirt churning, desert running race truck.
Chevrolet is using the #7330 ZR2 race truck to help develop its aftermarket parts. The truck has won both races it has entered in the Best in the Desert racing series.
Specially tuned Multimatic DSSV shocks and a long-travel rear leaf suspension allow for fast speed through the whoops.
Secondary jounce shocks in the front and rear add damping and make for an even more controlled rebound.
The rear, unprotected lower shock mount on the stock ZR2 (top) vs. the covered lower shock mount (bottom).
The parts are developed so that no welding is required.
You want Maxtrax recovery boards? Sorry, those aren't part of the deal. You'll have find those on your own.
No word on when the parts will be available or how much they will cost. Keep scrolling for more photos of the awesome ZR2 race truck.
