Nest debuted a whole new lineup of smart security products on Wednesday. Take a look at Nest's new souped-up smart home.
A more secure Nest
Nest made a splash in the smart home Wednesday with several new products, including an outdoor cam, a doorbell cam and a whole-home security system. Click through for more pics from today's Nest event.
Nest Secure
Nest's new security system -- called Nest Secure -- includes the Guard, the Tag and the Detect.
Getting started
The Nest Secure starter pack will cost $500 and includes a Guard, two Detects and two Tags.
Nest Guard
The Nest Guard is the keypad for Nest's new security system. The Guard has an 85-decibel siren, a backup battery and an LTE/3G backup, as well as arm and disarm capabilities.
Nest Tag
Tap your security system on and off with the Nest Tag.
Nest Detect
Stick this sensor to a door or window and it'll send you a push alert when it opens. The Detect also senses motion.

Mobile control
You can of course control the system with your phone.
Monitoring
Monitor security yourself, or pay for professional monitoring.
Nest Hello
Nest also introduced a doorbell cam on Wednesday called the Nest Hello.

The cam has person recognition -- it distinguishes people from pets and objects -- as well as the more difficult facial recognition.

Nest Cam IQ Outdoor
Finally, Nest brought its IQ cam tech to an outdoor model.
Outdoor smarts
Complete with facial recognition capability, SuperSight, two-way talk and more, this model is supposed to bring Nest's premium IQ tech to your yard.
Costly cam
The outdoor Nest Cam IQ will retail for $350.
Nest app
You'll be able to see footage from any Nest cam on the app.
