Trendnet unveils two new speedy Powerline 1200 AV2 adapter kits

Trendnet announced today two new powerline adapter kits, the TPL-420E2K and the TPL-421E2K that supports the Powerline 1200 AV2 standard to offer Gigabit-class data rates. Both kits are set to be on the market by September of this year.

Home Powerline connection is set to get a big boost this year.

Trendnet announced today two new adapter kits the Powerline 1200 AV2 (model TPL-420E2K), and the Powerline 1200 AV2 (model TPL-421E2K.) Both kits include two identical adapters that use the snap-on design, but the latter' adapters also have a pass-through socket allowing a user to re-use the wall socket they occupy.

Locating local internet providers

Trendnet says both kits support the latest Powerline 1200 AV2 standard. This means technically they can offers up to 1,200Mbps. In reality the sustained speed will be around 500Mbps, which is a huge improvement from existing adapters on the market.

Adapters in both kits come with one Gigabit network port and can create a reliable connection between two wall sockets as far as 980 feet (300m) apart and can work in homes as large as 5,000 sq. feet (465 sq. meters).

Locating local internet providers

Both the TPL-420E2K kit (that includes two TPL-420E adapters) and the TPL-421E2K kits (that includes two TPL-421E adapters) will be available in North American, European, and UK outlet/plug models this September at the estimated cost of $99 and $109, respectively (pricing for other markets is not available at this time).
