America Online on Thursday launched its anticipated deal to offer Apple Computer's iTunes online music shop on its flagship Internet service. AOL members can now buy music by clicking on iTunes links throughout AOL Music.

AOL also announced that it will offer content of its own to iTunes users. AOL will sell original music from its Sessions@AOL and Broadband Rocks programs that are broadcast exclusively through its service. Apple and AOL originally struck their deal in October when Apple unveiled a version of iTunes for Microsoft Windows users.
