JVC's LT-32DG8 is a cheap LCD TV with an ordinary design and the standard HD Ready specs. But image quality, especially with high-definition content, is above average, even if it's not quite the best

JVC has entered the rear projection TV market with the 70-inch HD-Z70RX5, which features the company's proprietary D-ILA projection technology.

JVC HD-58S998

Although it had a hard time keeping a straight line, the JVC HD-58S998 gives solid picture quality from an ultraslim cabinet.

Although the LT-42DA8BJ is sensibly priced, we weren't overly impressed with the standard-definition picture. That said, you won't find many better 42-inch televisions at this price point

The JVC LT-42DS9 isn't a bad TV. Unfortunately, its great styling and decent sound and picture are let down by a dodgy backlight and high price

The LCD bar has been raised and with the help of an impressive specification, JVC just manages to clear it -- but there are better performing models at the same price

JVC's first Full HD LCD TV, the LT-46DZ7, is a bold and occasionally brilliant debut, using its considerable size to show off exactly the sort of improvements we like to see from Full HD models. But a couple of old-school glitches leaves it short of perfection

When it's good, the JVC LT-37DG8 37-inch LCD is very good indeed. And it's good for much of the time -- arguably enough to justify its very reasonable price tag. But in a scenario that remains depressingly common in the LCD world, it doesn't do quite well enough with dark scenes to completely win our hearts

The JVC LT-42DV8BJ claims one major attraction in the form of a really excellent 100Hz processing engine, which makes motion in the picture look silky smooth and exceptionally crisp. But although it's got other strengths as well, a couple of glitches fetch it up frustratingly short of greatness

JVC Xiview LT-42WX70

JVC's LT-42WX70 is a brave attempt to bring something new to the TV table. The screen looks the part, and it offers plenty of innovative features. But it also suffers from a fairly serious picture flaw, and we're not convinced JVC will deliver on all of the screen's promised features

JVC's LT-42DR9BJ is a perfectly respectable, but not spectacular, performer. With Panasonic's superb Viera TH-42PX80 plasma TV now available for under £700, some of the wind has been taken out of the 42DR9BJ's sails, even though it, unlike the Panasonic set, offers full HD resolution

There's no doubt that the JVC HD-56ZR7J has its faults -- not least some underwhelming black levels and the provision of just a single HDMI. Yet it's still worth considering simply for giving you 56 inches of occasionally superb hi-def pictures for under £1,800

Although flaws with the 32DE9BJ's picture quality stop us from being able to give the TV an unbridled recommendation, its recording functionality and price still make it an attractive prospect to anyone wanting to cut down on the number of AV boxes cluttering up their living room

JVC BoomBlaster RV-NB70B

The BoomBlaster RV-NB70B is big, bold and brash, but we wish that it was ever so slightly better built.
