Yahoo Mail for Android doesn't disappoint (pictures)

The Yahoo Mail Android app offers a straightforward experience that should have users of the e-mail service satisfied.

Navigation panel

All of the app's controls are tucked into the sliding panel on the left side of the screen. From here, you can also access your mail folders.

Tablet optimized

Yahoo Mail takes advantage of larger tablet screens by employing a dual-pane view.

Full-screen mode

On tablets, you can expand your view to a full-screen mode and swipe to jump from one message to the next.

E-mail formatting

Yahoo Mail offers more formatting tools than many other clients I've seen, including Gmail and Outlook.com.

The Search function works well and is easily accessible with the Search button at the top of the screen.

Rahul Manepalli, right, Intel's module engineering leader, shows a glass substrate panel before it's sliced into the small rectangles that will be bonded to the undersides of hundreds of test processors. The technology, shown here at Intel's CH8 facility in Chandler, Arizona, stands to improve performance and power consumption of advanced processors arriving later this decade. Glass substrates should permit physically larger processors comprised of several small "chiplets" for AI and data center work, but Intel expects they'll trickle down to PCs, too.
