Xiaomi's Mi Mix 3 joins the MWC 5G party

Along with foldable phones, 5G is one of the big themes of MWC 2019. Xiaomi hit the latter mark with the Mi Mix 3 5G.

Though 5G networks are in their earliest stages worldwide, Xiaomi says its initial carrier partners include Europe-based Orange, Sunrise, Telefonica, Three, TIM and Vodafone (all based in Europe). For now, there are no plans to bring the Mi Mix 3 5G to the US.

As a variant of the recently-released Mi Mix 3, the Mi Mix 3 5G has many of the same features like a dual 12-megapixel rear camera.

Around front is a 24-megapixel camera for selfies.

The AMOLED display is 6.39 inches from corner to corner. The Mi Mix 3 5G runs Android Pie.

You can use the fingerprint reader on the back to unlock the phone.

It has a Snapdragon 855 processor, an X50 5G modem and 128GB of internal storage.

The Mi Mix 3 5G's overall dimensions are 6.22 by 2.94 by 0.33 inches.

The phone has a USB Type C port and can charge wirelessly.

The ceramic body comes in two colors: onyx black and sapphire blue

When the Mi Mix 3 5G launches in May it will cost 599 euros or about $679.
