To the Lego Batcave: New set celebrates classic TV series (pictures)
Re-create your favorite Batman and Robin moments with this retro Batcave set that includes the Batlab and Wayne Manor, complete with vehicles, accessories and minifigures.
As part of the DC Comics Superheroes Lego line, this new set has over 2,526 pieces. That's hours of entertainment.
This Lego box design details all the action-packed moments you can have building and playing with this classic Batcave set.
The Batcave comes with a wall for Batman, Robin and Catwoman to climb. There's also a Batlab and a helipad for his Batcopter.
The Batcave was more than just a fancy garage for Batman's vehicles, such as the Batcycle.
Far below Wayne Manor is the Batcave. The only way down: the poles Bruce and Dick slide down as they prepare to don their superhero disguises.
The Batcave includes a high-tech, two-floor lab with the Batcomputer and a variety of detachable accessories including a lie detector machine, crime-fighting gadgets and test tubes. The set also includes the Batcave entrance for the Batmobile and a helipad for the Batcopter.
The legendary Batmobile features a dual cockpit with Batphone, two stud shooters, an opening trunk, dual exhaust and sign stickers.
The Batcopter has an opening cockpit for a minifigure, bat-inspired wings with two flick missiles, spinning rotors and a spinning propeller. Watch out for villain minifigures hitching a ride.
The Batcycle features a driver's seat for Batman, translucent headlight element and a sidecar for Robin.
The Wayne Manor section of the model features Bruce's study with the Batphone, and a hinged bust of Shakespeare with a secret button underneath.
The study also has a sliding false bookcase that reveals the Batpoles. Other elements include decorated wallpaper bricks, wall lamps, framed portraits, a framed fish and trophies.
Batman and Robin slide down the Batpoles so they can get to their Batcave in a hurry.
The classic '60s Batman TV series always showed the Caped Crusader and Robin hanging on to a rope as they climbed a building. They might as well get some practice in at Wayne Manor.
This Batmobile is perfect for quick exits from the Batcave to chase down the Joker.
This Batman minifigure comes equipped with his iconic cape, cowl and glare.
Bruce Wayne is a rich man and dresses like one. This minifigure has Bruce wearing his signature blue suit and ascot.
Batman's sidekick, Robin, comes complete with his red and green costume, and yellow cape.
As Bruce Wayne's ward, Dick Grayson dresses the part of a stylish young man with his red sweater and blue slacks.
Alfred Pennyworth is more than Bruce Wayne's butler. He knows all of Bruce's secrets, including the Batcave below. This minifigure is designed after the actor Alan Napier who played him in the '60s TV series.
Based on actress Julie Newmar from the first Catwoman in the '60s TV series, this minifigure has her famous costume including her cat ears.
Based on the actor Cesar Romero, the Joker is resplendent in a purple and green suit, neon green hair and creepy grimace.
Riddle me this: Does this minifigure look like actor Frank Gorshin who portrayed the quizzical villain from the original Batman TV series?
Modeled after actor Burgess Meredith, who played the Penguin in the original Batman TV series, this minifigure wears the black suit, purple bowtie and top hat, and even the monocle.
