The svelte, compact style of HTC's One V on U.S. Cellular

The HTC One V has finally landed on American shores. This $129.99 model for U.S. Cellular has the same aluminum unibody construction and compact size as its global counterpart. The phone also sports a 3.7-inch LCD screen, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, plus HTC Sense 4.

If the cut of the HTC One V's jib looks familiar that because it's very similar to past HTC phones. Specifically, the One V has a chin reminiscent of the HTC Legend and older HTC Hero from a few years back.

On the HTC One V's top edge you'll find the phone's power button and 3.5mm headphone jack.

The HTC One V's left side holds a thin but long volume rocker.

On back is the HTC One V's 5-megapixel camera with LED flash that also captures 1080p HD video.

Inside the HTC One V's back compartment is a microSD card slot to add additional memory storage. The phone's battery, though, is internal and not removable.

Though the HTC One V sports a small 3.7-inch (800 by 480 pixel) LCD screen, it produces accurate colors and has wide viewing angles.

Thanks to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, you can easily create folders for neatly storing app shortcuts on any of the One V's home screens.

The One V provides a slick app for viewing the forecast, an iconic HTC Sense UI feature.

The HTC Hub application aggregates plenty of suggested apps and other content for you to download and try.

The HTC One V's 5 megapixel may not be the highest resolution available but does provide fast performance and lots of shooting and scene modes.
