The new Oppo R11s gets a bigger screen and new camera tricks

The Oppo R11s's almost bezel-less sides equal any of the flagships in the market, though it's still a midrange device thanks to its Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.

The Oppo R11s will retail for 2,999 Chinese yuan, which converts to about $455, £345 and AU$590 respectively. It will be sold in China, Taiwan and Singapore first, before heading to Australia and Japan next year.

The Oppo R11s is a looker.

The 6-inch display is pretty stunning.

The Oppo R11s features a 20-megapixel and 16-megapixel rear camera.

Oppo added a slight groove to the bottom of the phone, making it more comfortable to hold while in landscape mode and while gaming, as you won't feel the edges of the microUSB port digging into your fingers.

The fingerprint sensor has a slightly different shape than others out there.

Besides using your fingerprints to unlock the phone, the R11s also supports face scanning tech to unlock it.

The phone's user interface feels very familiar.

The 18:9 ratio display is gorgeous, and the phone has a mode that hides the navigation keys. You control it using gestures, just like the iPhone X.

The R11s is pretty slim and light.

The rear camera does stick out.

The control center looks awfully familiar.

The bundled headphones are yet another familiar feature.
