The most adorably geeky wedding ever
How many geek references can you fit into one wedding? Katie and Kellan Potts managed quite a few, and the result was spectacular.

The pair married in May last year, in Poughkeepsie, New York, and posted some photos to Offbeat Bride a few days ago. If you have a romantic or geeky bone in your body, you'll love it just as much as we do.
The bride and groom recreated a Star Wars poster classic.
Firefly seemed to be the most dominant theme of the occasion. The bridesmaids all carried Kaylee parasols...
One of Katie's bridesmaids plays in a string ensemble. As the pair walked down the aisle, she and her friend played Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love" on cello and viola, and then "Beauty and the Beast" from the Disney film of the same name to celebrate Katie becoming Mrs Potts.
The colours of the wedding were purple and green, the colours of many DC villains. Off the top of our head, we can name the Joker, the Riddler, Lex Luthor's power suit, Mysterio, Kang and Catwoman's costume from the 1950s.
In the months leading up to the wedding, Katie and Kellan folded 1000 green-and-purple paper cranes for luck.
This one gave us a little mushy moment. Kellan's ring has Superman's logo on it — because he's Katie's Superman. And Katie's ring was green, because she's his Kryptonite. Katie explained on Flickr, "We each had something engraved on the inside of the other's ring. When we went to read the messages, turned out we both had 'I know' from Empire Strikes Back engraved."
After the bridal foxtrot, the newlyweds changed into more comfortable footwear: Superman Chuck Taylor Converse shoes for Kellan, and glittery silver ones for Katie.
To avoid rumpling her gown while getting ready, Katie wore a Spock bathrobe from Star Trek to match Kellan's Captain Kirk robe.
This set of Han Solo and Leia cake toppers was made by Katie's dad.
Important advice from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was emblazoned on the front of the wedding programmes.
More Firefly: the tables were named after planets in the Firefly universe, with the placards featuring pictures painted by Katie's mum from a map. They were held in place by little plastic dinosaurs as a nod to pilot Hoban "Wash" Washburne.
The devil's in the details. The couple pinned to their chests grape soda "Ellie badges" from the Pixar film Up. All together now: awwwww.
