Edyn's Garden Sensor, Water Valve help you maintain your plants (pictures)
Edyn has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund their connected sensor and watering control. Here's a closer look at the system.

The Edyn system includes the Edyn Garden Sensor and the Edyn Water Valve. Both use Wi-Fi signals to help you monitor and care for your plants from afar. Click through for more details on this upcoming connected garden technology.
The Edyn system is a Kickstarter project. Currently funded, devices are expected to ship to backers starting in the Spring of 2015.
Place the Garden Sensor in the soil by your plant.
The sensor will gather data on soil moisture, light, temperature, humidity, and soil nutrition.
Those readings are sent to the cloud. You can see them and the resulting recommendations via Edyn's smartphone app.
The Edyn Water Valve will use the information from the sensor to give your plants the exact amount of water that they need.
It can connect and control any garden hose.
You can reserve the Edyn Garden Sensor for a $100 contribution on Kickstarter. For $160, you'll get both the Garden Sensor and the Edyn Water Valve.
