Meet the BlackBerry Music Gateway
RIM's $49.99 BlackBerry Music Gateway connects legacy home theater equipment to Bluetooth-enabled smartphones, letting you enjoy mobile audio in the living room.
Tiny yet capable
Measuring just 0.4 inch tall by 2.4 inches wide by 1.5 inches deep and weighing a mere 0.8 of an ounce, the BlackBerry Music Gateway is very compact and portable.
Hook it up
On back of the BlackBerry Music Gateway are its only ports, a 3.5mm audio jack and Micro-USB connection.
Pair, then play
To kick the BlackBerry Music Gateway into pairing mode, you press the Pairing button on top of the device. Also hidden under the button and BlackBerry logo is an NFC chip for instant pairing with compatible gadgets.
Cables included
RIM bundles the BlackBerry Music Gateway with a male-to-male 3.5mm audio cable plus a 3.5mm-to-RCA cord (shown here). With them you can connect the Gateway to audio receivers, speakers, monitors, or even car stereos.
