With its keyboard attached, the Transformer Book Trio looks like a regular laptop. In this mode it can run either Windows 8 or Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
In tablet mode, however, it runs only Android.
The Trio's black square keys, touch pad, and silver finish will remind you of a MacBook.
After you detach the tablet, though, you'll know that you're using a unique device.
The keyboard dock measures 13.4mm thick and weighs 1kg, whereas the tablet is 9.7mm thick and weighs 700g. Overall, that's a hefty package.
Here you can see the ports for attaching the tablet to the keyboard.
On one side of the tablet you'll find speakers and a headset jack.
And on one side of the keyboard are HDMI and USB ports. There's also the port for connecting a monitor, which turns the Trio into a desktop machine.
You get a second USB port on the other side.
The Trio has a smooth, brushed-metal finish.
On the bottom of the keyboard dock are cooling vents.
