The waterproof Kyocera Hydro
The Kyocera Hydro is a $129.99 prepaid handset from Boost that features Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and waterproof capabilities.
Midlevel camera
Although it doesn't have a front-facing camera, the Hydro has a 3.2-megapixel camera on the back with accompanying LED flash.
Waterproof with no worries
The Kyocera Hydro satisfies IPX-5 and IPX-7 levels of waterproof certification, meaning it can be sprayed with water and submerged in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes, respectively.
Lock in the back
A lock keeps the Hydro's backplate secured.
Sealed Micro-USB port
Because the Hydro's 3.5mm headphone jack is waterproof, it doesn't require a cover. The Hydro's Micro-USB port, however, needs to be sealed with an attached door.
A bite of Ice Cream Sandwich
The Kyocera Hydro refreshingly runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, without a different UI skin on top.
