When she isn't working her magic for game developer Spite House, Murphy creates collages re-imagining the casts of popular TV shows and movies as...you guessed it. Fans of "Stranger Things" will recognize this Murphy creation as the cat version of Barb. Poor, doomed Barb.
Good thing she's got that axe and, presumably, some string lights nearby.
"My favorite character is Will Byers in the 'Stranger Things' piece because I tried to go over-the-top cute with him, since he has so much pathos -- enough to be the motivation behind the whole story," Murphy said. "And I've always wanted to do a cat with a bowl cut."
And, yes, there's more...
The entire "Stranger Things" cat collage, titled, appropriately enough, "Mangier Things," is available for sale on Murphy's Etsy page.
"I wanted to draw the 'Stranger Things' cats because the show is such a skillfully crafted love letter to everything it references and brings back to life," Murphy said.
Yeah, it's cute. But wait 'til you see the cats of Westeros.
Murphy also has a collage just for "Game of Thrones" fans. Following are some of our favorites.
But wait. It gets better...
Yes, now we're kinda sad, too. But it continues...
And then there's...
He's just as emo as his human counterpart.
Not to be bested by...
Confusing? Sure. But we're going with it.
Gotta love the cat Doof Warrior there in the upper left corner.
We suspect they're all from the same litter...or are they?
Here's a tribute to Netflix's "Jessica Jones."
Another Netflix hit, cat-erized.
So, what show or movie might get the Murphy cat treatment next?
Maybe Pokemon Go, Murphy says, "and people always ask for 'Doctor Who' cats, but it's possible some new show or movie will capture my interest! I'm really looking forward to the new season of 'Black Mirror.'"
