While it's substantially different on the inside, the second-generation A7S has the same body -- and takes the same accessories -- as the other Mark II A7 models.
It's not as high, but it has a --welcome -- deeper grip.
Oddly, it doesn't have a "II" on it the way the A7R II does.
The camera gets the improved controls and layout: locking mode dial, bigger and better-located shutter button and dual custom buttons.
In addition to USB and Micro-HDMI, the camera has the same mic and headphone jacks as before. However, the door is annoyingly blocked by the strap hook.
Adding another 0.4 in/10mm to the grip makes a big difference.
The back controls haven't changed much.
