The Food Showcase fridge boasts a flat-faced stainless steel design with recessed handles and an attractive LED display.

The fridge door is separated into two sections. Pull the top "Inner Case" section to open the fridge like normal, or pull the bottom "Showcase" section to open just the front panel, exposing the stuff you've stored in the in-door shelves.

The LED display on the freezer door looks great, and comes with controls over basic fridge functions.

Open the Showcase door, and you'll have access to all of the in-door shelves.

The lower Food Showcase shelves slide out like drawers, making them a great spot to store drinks and snacks at a kid-friendly height.

Open everything up, and you'll find 28.5 cubic feet of storage space, 18.5 of which are dedicated to the fridge.

Here are the average temperatures during a three-day test with the fridge set to 37 degrees F (about 3 C) and the freezer set to 0 F (about -17 C). Those lower drawers in the fridge run surprisingly warm, and the in-door temperatures are hotter than you'd like, too.

The fridge shelves themselves, though, did a great job, averaging out to steady, accurate temperatures throughout all of our tests.

The drawers were slightly less accurate. During all of our tests, they consistently ran a few degrees warm.

The doors were warmest of all, with the bottom drawers serving as the worst offenders. We'd regularly track them 10 or more degrees above the target temperature.

This version of the Food Showcase refrigerator sells for $3,000 (similar units with different model numbers are available in Australia and the UK for about AU$3,900 and £2,500, respectively.)
