If you build it, they will come (NSFW)

It's no accident, technology is raising the profile of a whole new product category: smart sex toys. From products meant to spark a dialogue about sex -- or just to test your pee -- to "experiences" purely for pleasure, here's what we saw at CES 2016.

Porn in virtual reality

It was only a matter of time before VR would be used for watching pornography. This CES, a company called Naughty America showed off its virtual-reality adult videos shot in a first-person perspective.

Taking in the view

You'll watch them on a VR headset and you can look around to take in the scene while the adult entertainers perform. It's meant to make you feel like you're actually part of the experience.

Lovelife Krush by OhMiBod

The Krush is a part of OhMiBod's Lovelife line of products and meant to help women evolve "smarter Kegel fitness" routines.

Muscle building

When paired with the Tasl app, the Krush helps to strengthen your PC muscles using different training routines. The app, which is still in development, will also allow a partner to remotely control the app from a distance.

OhMiBod

While the Krush is meant for "sexual health," says co-founder Brian Dunham, this little guy is for sexual wellness. As yet nameless, it's a part of the same line that will work with the Tasl app, like the Krush. A small, flat vibrator (about 2 to 3 inches), it sits inside a pair of underwear and can be controlled remotely through the app.

Little Bird by B.Sensory

The Little Bird from B.Sensory aims to inspire you to...read more? When you choose an erotic novel to read through the companion app, the Bluetooth-enabled vibrator acts kind of like a physical bookmark, causing different sensations based on your place in the book.

As technology adds to this already expansive category, one thing's for sure: Sexual health and masturbation will never be the same.
