Take a closer look at the first home security cam to successfully implement facial recognition.
The $200 Netatmo Welcome is a connected camera that offers facial recognition. Click through to see how this cam can get to know your fam.
Complete with an iOS and Android app, the Netatmo can get to know you and your loved ones, and you can customize notifications based on who it sees and who's home.
As a security camera, it also lets you live stream footage in HD. It has a 130-degree angle of view and night vision.
This red light turns on when the infrared night vision kicks in.
Get your camera setup, and it'll film constantly, but only record based on established triggers.
The recordings are stored locally on an 8GB SD card you store in the back.
You'll need to plug Netatmo in, it doesn't run on batteries.
You can also plug it into your computer with the included USB.
Get it up and running, and you can customize triggers based on motion and faces.

It keeps track of who's home and who's away based on when it last saw them. You can customize notifications based on whether or not someone's home.
By getting to know you and your family, the Netatmo Welcome sets out to maintain your privacy while keeping an eye out for unknown parties.
