Scribd started as a document-sharing service and now also lets you read as many e-books as you want from its 500,000-strong catalog for $9 per month.
You can browse for books by genres, or check out curated collections from Scribd editors and other users. You can also search for a book by name.
When you find a book that piques your interest, tap on the cover to see a synopsis and ratings, and to add it to library so you can start reading.
With each book, you can add them to collections or save them to your device for offline reading.
You library houses all your saved books, and here you can start reading a new title or pick up where you left off in a book.
While reading, you can change the text size and style, as well as change the background.
There's also a night mode, for reading in the dark, which keeps the screen dim.
If you find a sentence or passage that you want to remember, you can highlight the text and add notes.
