T-Mobile wants to steal you away

Possibly the biggest news out of CES 2014 on Wednesday? T-Mobile's declaration that it wants to be "The Un-carrier," with CEO John Legere announcing the carrier's new policy: It will pay early termination fees for customers who want to switch to T-Mobile.

It's all fun and games at CES 2014

We got up close with Razer's Project Christine gaming PC -- with a design that almost left us speechless. Scott Stein went virtual with the Oculus Rift 2.0 Crystal Cove prototype. And while the JamStik wireless fretboard won't turn you into Peter Frampton, you may feel like it did.

Massive Audio wants to exterminate your existing car stereo

Among the most popular "celebrity" appearances at CES 2014 was this Dalek, made of components by Massive Audio. The Bluetooth-enabled components play music -- and threaten CES attendees with extermination.

LifeTrack R415 is another in the long line of fitness smartwatches

If there's one thing for sure at CES 2014, it's that companies are betting everything on wearable tech. The LifeTrack R415 is another entry in this market. This waterproof smartwatch receives smartphone alerts and tracks your heart rate.

Project your feelings -- or your videos and apps

Projectors were all the rage on Wednesday, ranging from the Touchjet TouchPico (shown here) which can turn your wall into your Android interface, to the ZTE Projector Hotspot, which serves as hot spot and projector, to the Sony 4K Ultra Short Throw Projector projector, which can project a 147-inch image out of its credenza design -- just like those old cabinet stereos your grandparents owned.

Making 'Her' real: Home automation at CES 2014

Joaquin Phoenix doesn't corner the market on being in love with the smart home; all sorts of connected devices can be seen at CES 2014. Wednesday marked CNET's own Home Automation panel, where experts discussed the future of technology in the home. We also saw cool stuff like Whirlpool's connected home concepts, LG's HomeChat, which allows you to send text messages to your LG connected devices, and Samsung's Chef Collection Range smart oven.

Say cheese -- cameras are still in focus at CES 2014

From digital cameras to smart glasses (like the Pivothead Smart Colfax camera glasses Jessica Dolcourt went hands-on with) to add-ons (like the Izzi Slim case for smartphones that gives you four different camera lenses for use with your phone's camera), it seems like every company wants to make the thing you're using to take your pictures. And we saw cameras designed to record your life, such as the Jigabot AIMe as well as 360-degree cameras like the Geonaute.

So hot it's cool: The Solar Cooler

The Solar Cooler may be the hottest cool thing in green technology. Solar panels power this cooler, which help keep things chill when you're away from home.

TVs keep getting bigger

If it feels like the TVs are getting bigger each day of CES 2014, they just might be. Sharp showed off its 4K TV, while Luke Westaway took a look at LG's flexible-screen TV as well as a 105-inch "5K" TV.
