iPad Mini unveiled
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- As expected, Apple introduced the iPad Mini at a press event this morning. Here, marketing chief Phil Schiller officially unveils the much anticipated device. It comes with a 7.9-inch screen and starts at $329.
The iPad Mini was actually the final product to be shown off at the event. Click ahead for other new products, such as the fourth-gen iPad, a revamped Mac Mini, a superthin iMac, and a 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display.

Screen size
Schiller points out that the screen sizes should be easy to remember. The iPad is 9.7 inches, the iPad Mini is 7.9 inches.
Compared with Nexus
Schiller compares the Nexus' 7-inch display to the iPad Mini's 7.9-inch display. The iPad Mini's display is 35 percent larger. "That's a huge difference," Schiller says.
Pricing
The iPad Mini starts at $329 for 16GB of storage. It costs $100 more for each additional 16GB of storage. The LTE options add an additional $130, pushing the highest iPad Mini price to $659.

New Mac Mini
Apple's new Mac Mini is faster and more capable. The tiny desktop computer, last updated more than a year ago, will have three USB 3 ports while retaining HDMI and Thunderbolt connections. It starts at $599.
