Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 accessories (photos)
Take a closer look at a range of accessories made by Samsung for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Android (Honeycomb) tablet, including cases, keyboards, and adapters.
For Samsung, competing against Apple's iPad means more than creating an excellent tablet--it also means creating a high-quality line of accessories. For the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Samsung is making a number of cases, keyboards, docks, and adapters, to entice customers.
In this photo we see the Keyboard dock ($69), which offers a full-size tactile keyboard for users interested in adapting the Galaxy Tab 10.1 for extensive word processing and e-mail.
On the right side of the Keyboard dock you'll find a pass-through 30-pin connection, which can be used to charge the tablet while it's docked or to connect one of a number of adapters (USB host, HDMI, USB sync) made for the Tab 10.1.
The Multi-Media dock does not include a built-in video output. Instead, users must buy an HDMI adapter separately ($39), which can be plugged into the pass-though 30-pin connection on the back. A stereo audio out is included.
Here are the range of adapters made for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. From left to right we have the HDMI adapter ($39), the USB host adapter ($19.99), and the SD card adapter (pricing TBD).
