Porsche 911 GT3 and GT3 Cup hit the track at Road Atlanta
We compare Porsche's new GT3 to its race-ready sibling.
The new Porsche 911 GT3 meets its race car sibling.
These cars are very similar, yet very different.
The standard GT3 has a 4.0-liter flat-six and can be had with a manual or automatic transmission.
Both cars look rad.
And here they are racing around Road Atlanta.
The GT3 Cup weighs only 2,772 pounds.
The standard GT3 is a bit more, at over 3,100.
The lighter weight, fabulous gearbox, sweet motor, improved downforce, new-for-2021 antilock brakes and bespoke 18-inch Michelin race tires stand out as the most noticeable changes on the new GT3 Cup.
As you enter the GT3 Cup, you're met with a stripped interior, multifunction yoke-style steering wheel, a 10.3-inch color monitor, a six-point harness system and full roll cage.
