It's way different than the grassy, forested ruins of Erangel.
PUBG, the smash hit PC game that paradrops 100 people onto an island to scavenge for weapons and survive to be the last man standing... will leave beta on Dec. 20.
Here's the game's new desert map, dubbed Miramar -- and a few of the new and exclusive weapons and vehicles coming in version 1.0.
The game's also coming to Xbox One on Dec. 12.
As you can see, it's a very different landscape, with far more buildings clustered together at a time, and more vertical space you'll need to watch.
Just because it's a desert doesn't mean no water, though.
There's an unfinished city to fight in.
Ghost town.
You'll still be able to raid a military base for elite gear.
Here's the new map, revealed. Start planning your strategy now! (Click here for a better view.)
The Win94 lever-action rifle is a desert map exclusive.
As is this double-barreled sawed-off shotgun -- also exclusive to the desert map.
This R45 revolver also is for the desert map, though PUBG Corp hasn't specified whether it'll be exclusive.
The DP28 light machine gun has a 47-round pan magazine, and no single-shot or burst mode -- it's a slow drumbeat of full-auto 7.62mm fire. (It looks pretty funny with a modern holo sight attached.)
I haven't nabbed an AUG A3 yet, but this bullpup rifle looks sweet. You can only find it in care packages.
This old VW-style bus will be drivable in the desert map.
As will this pickup truck.
The Aquarail is one of several new vehicles coming to both maps.
December 20 is the date.
