The Samsung BlackJack boasts an undeniably sexy black casing that'll look good whether you're in the boardroom or out on a night in town. Its sharp display is also great for watching videos.
At 4.4x2.3x0.6 inches and 3.5 ounces, the BlackJack is one of the thinnest and lightest smart phones we've seen to date.
The left and right sides of the Samsung BlackJack host a bevy of controls, including a trackwheel, a volume controller, and a Back button.
Like the T-Mobile Dash, the BlackJack has a soft-touch finish that makes the smart phone easy to grip. It also has a solid construction and feels comfortable to use as a phone.
This sleek device should have no problem slipping right into your purse or pants pocket.
Unfortunately, we thought the navigation array on the BlackJack was too cramped, and we often pressed the wrong button, which was quite frustrating.
The Samsung BlackJack sports a 1.3-megapixel camera with video-recording capabilities, and we were quite impressed by the camera phone's photo quality.
Like BlackBerrys, the device has a thumb wheel and a Back button on the right side for one-handed navigation. Unlike a BlackBerry, it also has a Micro SD expansion slot.
The BlackJack's QWERTY keyboard is a bit more cramped than the Motorola Q's but still usable. The number keys for dialing are highlighted in gray for easy identification.
Sorry, Moto Q, the BlackJack beats you to the thin punch.
