At the DigitalLife show in New York, Palm unveiled its new low-cost Palm Treo 680. The quad-band smart phone features a slimmed-down form factor, Palm OS 5.4.9, and Bluetooth 1.2, and will be available in four different colors. No specifics on pricing, carrier, or availability just yet.

Here is the crimson version of the Treo 680 with the main screen. Like the Treo 750v, the 680 has a slimmer form factor than Treos past, and gone is the stubby external antenna.
