For the first time ever, Palm will offer the Treo in a number of colors. You can choose from one of four flavors: graphite, copper, arctic, or crimson.
In addition to introducing the Treo 680, Palm and Google also announced the availability of Google Maps to the Treo smart phones. Here it is demonstrated on the graphite 680.
Pictured here is the arctic version of the Treo 680. The Treo 680 comes equipped with a camera and video-recording capabilities, but we're completely disappointed by its VGA quality.
The Palm Treo 680 will come preloaded with Pocket Tunes, so you can listen to your favorite MP3s. It will also support streaming video and audio without the need for third-party apps.
Where are my shades? The copper version of the Treo 680 may seem bright in pictures, but it's actually a little more toned down in person.
Here is the crimson version of the Treo 680 with the main screen. Like the Treo 750v, the 680 has a slimmer form factor than Treos past, and gone is the stubby external antenna.
Other highlights of the Palm Treo 680 include revamped phone and e-mail apps, Palm OS 5.4.9, 64MB of SDRAM and 64MB of user-accessible memory, and an SD expansion slot that accepts up to 2GB cards.
