It is a rare day indeed that we come across a piece of technology that so utterly fails at its intended purpose, but American electronics manufacturer Coby has managed to produce just such a device. Prepare to witness the astounding, the fearsome, the horrifying Coby MP-C7082. (Try not to stare.)
Here's where the trouble begins. Witness the terrifying direction pad with sticky buttons! The Coby MP-C7082's five-way control pad is unintuitive, unresponsive, and generally prone to causing migraines.
The top menu is colorful, icon-driven, and intuitive, but that's where the fun ends. Other menus require hoop-jumping to access and are difficult to navigate.
Be astounded by the 2.5mm mono super mini-jack! Not only is the MP-C7082's headphone jack nonstandard, making it a pain to use your own favorite headphones, it also outputs hollow, flat sound. Plus, our unit--though probably a defect--only played through the right channel.
Plus, it's super thin--nothing like a slim profile to earn you some brownie points in the gadget world. Careful: don't allow the skinny beast to lull you into submission!
