Overcast has a clean interface for listening to podcasts (pictures)

This new podcast player for iPhone gives you the basics for free, but keeps extra features like speed control and silence skipping behind a pay wall.

Outcast shows you available podcasts by category, and if you sign in with Twitter, you can also get recommendations from the people you follow.

As you listen to a podcast you can use forward and back controls, send the podcast to other devices via AirPlay (bottom center), and sample the extra features using the buttons in the lower corners.

Once you choose a few podcasts they'll show up in your list.

Smart Speed, Voice Boost, and speed controls can be sampled for 5 minutes, but you'll need to unlock them to use them all the time.

Once you've paid the fee, you'll able to switch between continuous or one-by-one playback, and you can use the sleep timers.

If you decide to pay the $4.99, £2.99, or AU$6.99 fee for the full version, these are the features you will unlock.
