OLED lighting hits home (pictures)
Acuity Brands' OLED lighting fixtures, which use easy-on-the-eyes panels instead of bright bulbs, are now for sale through Home Depot. Here's a look at the line.
Acuity Brands Chalina
Acuity Brands, a major US manufacturer of light fixtures, hopes the public will warm to OLED illumination, another energy-efficient alternative alongside LED lighting. Acuity is now selling OLED light fixtures at Home Depot: the $300 Chalina (above) and the $200 Aedan.
Acuity Brands Aedan
Acuity Brands' Aedan fixtures have two light panels, one on each side. Here five of them are shown in a suspended form. The Aedan also can be mounted against a wall as a sconce.
Aurora Lighting Design
Acuity also sells commercial lighting fixtures. Here Aurora Lighting Design in Chicago uses the Acuity Trilia fixture in a design intended to work either for office or residential areas.

OLEDs at work
Aurora Lighting Design has added OLED lighting options to its architectural lighting practice as well as to its office.
Acuity wall illumination
The OLED lighting is cool, easing overheating concerns and letting fixtures be placed directly against walls and ceilings.
