OLED lighting hits home (pictures)

Acuity Brands, a major US manufacturer of light fixtures, hopes the public will warm to OLED illumination, another energy-efficient alternative alongside LED lighting. Acuity is now selling OLED light fixtures at Home Depot: the $300 Chalina (above) and the $200 Aedan.

Acuity Brands' Aedan fixtures have two light panels, one on each side. Here five of them are shown in a suspended form. The Aedan also can be mounted against a wall as a sconce.

Acuity also sells commercial lighting fixtures. Here Aurora Lighting Design in Chicago uses the Acuity Trilia fixture in a design intended to work either for office or residential areas.
